Shay is a graduate of The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia. She finds her inspiration in the studios of fellow artists, antiques, history, nature, and the company of her animal neighbors.
Shay Aubrey Allen creates artwork in a range of materials. Her first memory of honing her artistic skills was when she was very small, sitting at her plastic desk, trying to draw a red heart but not yet able to round the curves... She took it as an opportunity to look at it as it was and turned these not-yet-hearts into cats. Shay goes where her art decides to take her.
